Radishes
This group includes small red radishes, French breakfast varieties, and additional specialty radishes grown in short cycles. Farmers often include them in mixed-vegetable rotations.

Radishes have a relatively quick turnaround and can be sold bunches or loose, appealing to direct market customers who favor crisp, peppery flavors. Mild climate conditions facilitate multiple plantings per year, especially if soil is well-prepared to prevent misshapen roots. While it may not be a flagship crop, radishes fill a consistent niche in salad mixes, pickling jars, and cultural dishes requiring crunchy garnishes. Demand is solid enough to keep them in rotation on diversified farms, alongside other quick-maturing vegetables.
